Youth Volunteer Accreditation Program - Applications must be submitted online by Tuesday, September 30, 2025

WITH RICHMOND FOOD BANK SOCIETY

Summary

The Richmond Food Bank’s Youth Volunteer Accreditation Program is designed for students aged 15–18 who need to complete their 30 hours of volunteer service for high school graduation. Running until May 2026, the program gives youth the chance to gain meaningful work experience outside of school hours while building transferrable skills that will serve them in school, employment, and beyond.

Participants will try out all aspects of food bank operations, from registering new clients to sorting and distributing food donations. Those who successfully complete their hours will receive both a certificate and a letter of recommendation to support future study or employment. Applications must be submitted online by Tuesday, September 30, 2025, making this an excellent opportunity for students to plan ahead and complete their requirements on time.
